Röknauts March to Battle

“We shall also, with all faithfulness, endeavour the discovery of all such as have been or shall be incendiaries, malignants, or evil instruments…”

– Solemn League, 2nd Millennium

2025 is shaping up to be the Röknauts’ biggest year yet! The Space Dwarf bunker is a whirlwind of activity as we gear up for new miniatures releases, trade shows and expansion.

2025 is shaping up to be the Röknauts’ biggest year yet! The Space Dwarf bunker is a whirlwind of activity as we gear up for new miniatures releases, trade shows and expansion. Wheeled Warriors Chunky-tyred warmachines are speeding out across the globe. Thank you to everyone that has bought squadrons to start their mobile task force, and to the people that are expanding their collections into full-on skirmish forces

It was Vapnartak last month at York Racecourse, so we packed the Ontos Battlevan (like the Punisher’s Battlevan, but with crisp packets instead of concealed weapon turrets) full of blisters and boxes of Space Dwarfs to tempt the wargaming public.

And is that a new prototype miniature lurking in the corner of that cabinet?! Read on to learn more…

It was fantastic to meet so many of you – thanks to everyone that stopped by to chat, pick up some minis, and generally enthuse about wargaming. The stand will return to York in 2026.

We’ve got more trade shows scheduled for 2025 – including Salute, Games Expo, Border Reiver and Battleground. Come and say hi!

I’m bulking up the Studio Röknaut army by painting more infantry.  Every time we dispatch orders I get a sudden surge of enthusiasm to paint copies of the models I’m sending out, so the force is getting bigger and bigger!

It’s the biggest wargames show in the United Kingdom next month! Salute 2025 – Saturday the 12th in London. All the heavy hitters of the wargaming world will be there, rubbing shoulders wtih the cool indie manufacturers. It’ll be like Vapnartak 2025 BUT TIMES FOUR! (Yes! That’s Vapnartak eight thousand one hundred!)

Come find Ontos Games at TA07. That’s practically next to the entrance – and you can remember that with this handy rhyme.

Of Röknauts so you’re not bereft,
On enterin’ Salute, turn ‘mediate left,
And there ‘pon the first-but-one stall,
Resin Space Dwarfs – collect ’em all

The lads at Crown of Command Games have been taking their beautifully painted armies to the tabletop for some glorious archaeogaming. Nick’s army has some exquisite freehand back banners – and Paul fielded an army that used a mix of manufactuers – including Ontos Games! I’m loving the bronze, red and green combo, though I shed tears when a whole squad of them were ignomiously killed while embarked on a transport. You can watch the whole battle report here on YouTube.

And check out Crown of Command on instagram too, for punchy retro colour schemes that scream 1990s.

Did you spot that upcoming miniature in the Vapnartak cabinet? Here’s a shot of the unpainted master! To celebrate Salute and its “Highlander” theme I’ve sculpted a special Highland version of Rökthane Schiltron Toothcutter. Wielding the deadly lochaber axe – no, let’s call it the “Rökaber Axe” – and sporting a kilt, fly plaid and feather bonnet combo, this Space Dwarf is as Highland as they come. Cut him and he bleeds tartan. Available first at Salute 2025!

Rök on!
