Gamefound! Monday!

Gamefound is the place the new Röknaut miniatures will launch! And they’re launching Monday! THIS MONDAY COMING! 12 midday, Monday 17th November 2025! I’m ridiculously giddy to show Wârnug and his Exö-Squad off to the world. They’re my best models ever and I’ve poured my heart and soul into sculpting and painting them this year.

Wyrd Science
The latest print edition of Wyrd Science (volume 1, issue 7) starts with a lovely page about the Röknauts. If you’re not already reading Wyrd Science it’s a beefy 112-page print magazine jammed full of articles, interviews and reviews about the culture of tabletop games. I personally really dig it as there’s a real love behind the commissioned illustrations, the graphic design flourishes and the overall vibe of the organ.
Middlesbrough Mayhem
Scant hours after the Gamefound ends, I’ll be driving the Ontos van to Battleground Wargames Show in Middlesbrough. That’s Saturday 29th November 2025. It’s free to get in!
As well as all the games and traders, there’s a show-and-tell history from Dawn of Chivalry about 13th century medieval weapons and armour, and a series of talks including Tony Fox’s “Sunderland and the Spanish Civil War” that rounds out the event into a nice day out.
Come to the Ontos stand, I will be grinning like a loon and will have all the new studio miniatures in the cabinets for you to look at.
Community Showcase
David “Diddy Miniatures” Roberts has painted his Charnock Echogeld, and it’s so smooth and crisp I’m completely starstruck looking at it. He’s done multiple styles of NMM across the wargear, and really brought her to life with the colour placements.
You can see Diddy’s other minis on his Instagram, where he’s got other Röknauts in progress as well as a suite of classic 1990s minis. He also paints the minis and busts for his own company Diddy Miniatures, and now I’m clear of painting my Exö-squad I’m trying to return the compliment of his excellent paintjob by tackling a gaming-scale Angws Forge Guardian.
